A truly delightful ramble through the fields and footpaths of Hever, Chiddingstone and Bough Beech. We took a small detour to see the original “Chiding Stone” of Chiddingstone, where legend says that nagging wives and wrong do-ers of ye-olden days were taken to be judged and “chided (hence the name). We walked through the colourful landscape, full of autumnal reds, rust and golds and enjoyed a Sunday lunch at the popular Wheatsheaf, where it was warm enough to dine al-fresco in the autumn sunshine.
