A Christmas shopping trip to the festive market at Hyde Park. Browse the stalls for exciting Christmas gifts and crafts. Try you skills on Europe's largest outdoor ice rink. There is also a fairground and big wheel. We will choose a restaurant for an optional lunch and then visit the "Cologne Christmas Market" at the Southbank Centre.

This German style Christmas market has traditional German crafts, music, food and Glühwein (German Mulled Wine). Approximate cost £10 travelcard, £10 lunch (optional) plus spending money.

On Saturday it is the London Christmas markets trip. In the morning we will visit the Hyde Park festive market. There are a variety of Christmas gift and craft stalls that should be good for buying presents. There is also Europe's largest outdoor icerink, and a fairground and big wheel. If people are keen we can hire skates and have a go on the ice rink. We will then choose a restaurant and have lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Cologne Christmas market at the Southbank Centre. This is a german style market with traditional German crafts, music and food. We can have a glass of Gluhwein after browsing the stalls.

We will take the 11:08 train from Tunbridge Wells. It may be possible to get a group save ticket, so I suggest that you meet at the ticket counter at the Station. Otherwise you will need to get a London travelcard. I will meet you on the train as I am getting on at Sevenoaks. We expect to return to Tunbridge Wells at around 5pm.
